BT3 is working with North Country Thrive to create a comprehensive directory of services in Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties.

There’s a critical window of opportunity in every child’s first three years to make sure she or he has the strongest possible foundation for success.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Child Care Coordinating Council of the North Country (CCCCNC) and Adirondack Community Action Programs (ACAP), Clinton and Essex Counties have five new home-based child care providers, and several individuals are in the process of being certified.

Thanks to the advocacy efforts of a Birth to Three member, home visitors in the North Country will soon be bringing a New Parenting Kit to families.

Some might say, “Babies don’t need books - they can’t read!” But oh, how wrong you would be.

Every parent, regardless of income or education level, deserves support at the critical time when their lives are undergoing dramatic change due to the arrival of a new baby.
