On Saturday, February 25 local community members joined us at a Community Café to talk about the potential of a family resource center in Saranac Lake. The Alliance wanted to learn directly from local families about their needs and vision for a family resource center. A diverse group of fourteen adults shared what had surprised them about being parents, the type of support they need, and what their ideal family resource center would look like. Jamie Basiliere thoughtfully led the group through the Community Café process. We are grateful to Danielle and Rob Carr, Lucianna Cellotti, Kristi Colarusso, Cathy Craft, Patti McGillicuddy, and Erin Streiff. A big thank you to the Lil' School for hosting the event and the staff there for creating a fun Kids Café.
